Vienna Regulator, Rare Salesman's Sample - circa 1910 |
| This is a rare salesman's sample, measuring about 24" tall. It is only a 2 day clock, as a salesman's sample did not have to be very long running. It strikes the half hour once, and the number of the hour on a chime rod. The celluloid dial is very yellowed and cracked with age. It typifies the time period in which this clock was made, and still has its original nicely carved top. It is original in every way. This fine clock is in good running order, but has not been serviced. Sold as found, or I will service & guarantee the clock for an extra $50.00. |

Canadian Time, by Arthur Pequegnat - circa 1910
*** SOLD *** |
| This is the "flagship" of the Auther Pequegnat fleet of clocks. Pequegnat clocks are the most widely collected of the Canadian clocks, but then this was the most successful clock manufacturing firm in Canada. They are becoming increasingly hard to find, as American collectors are now showing a strong interest in them as well. This clock is in excellent condition. It is time only, and has an 8 day movement. The dial says "Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co., Berlin, Canada". The town of Berlin was renamed Kitchener in 1916 to disassociate from the German war machine. This fine clock has been recently serviced, and is fully guaranteed. |
